Japanese carrier ANA will open new flights from Tokyo Narita to Düsseldorf and from Tokyo Haneda to Munich from 30 March 2014.
Passengers on ANA and Lufthansa can take connecting domestic Japanese ANA network flights and the European network flights of Lufthansa.
Lutfhansa has also announced it will offer daily flights between Haneda Tokyo, Frankfurt and Munich from 30 March 2014.

Air Berlin as Germany’s second largest airline has carried 33 million passengers in 2012. It has a strong marketing presence in the United States and for next summer it is offering a record number of flights from Germany to the US all with two-class A330s. Air Berlin is developing as a serious top quality two-class airline offering a proper quality flat bed Business Class.
On November 23 Singapore Airlines ended the world’s longest nonstop air route Singapore-Newark. Previously the airline ended Los Angeles-Singapore nonstop service on October 22. United Airlines is giving up on the Seattle/Tacoma-Tokyo (Narita) route on January 16, 2014. Germanwings will drop all service from Berlin (Tegel) to Bucharest, Geneva and Stockholm (Arlanda) in the first week of January 2014.
US Airways is launching a non-stop daily service between Philadelphia and the Scottish capital next summer. The route will run from May 23 to October 1.
In September, United Airlines announced that next year it will fly a summer seasonal service between Edinburgh and Chicago.
